How Flash Can Spark Your Writing
Writing flash (1,000 words or less) can be a springboard to creativity. Jane Hertenstein, author of Freeze Frame: How to Write Flash Memoir and Flash Memoir: Writing Prompts to get you Flashing, is available to speak about flash as the building block to launching a picture book or novel. Her latest novel, Cloud of Witnesses (October 2018, Golden Alley Press) employed a system of writing small scenes, and from there building outward to create an arc with a driving theme. She’ll discuss turning vignettes into scenes and episodic versus epic.
Open to manuscript critique.
